Twitter highlight….falls on @joycesmith

Happy New Year everyone. I know I’ve been slacking in the intros to cool fun photogs on Twitter lately as I have been buried in the day to day operations of a photographer during the holiday (card design crazy) season. So I now give you a special one… @joycesmith.

With meringue softness, pastel candy store colors, and play date whimsy, the images of Joyce Smith photography leave you feeling indulgently sate after a visit to her blog/website.  This Philadelphia children’s photographer, caught my eye a few years back and has kept my rapt attention. Joyce is a hybrid, multifaceted and stylistically  creative. She blends photography, writing, parenthood, fashion, and social media savvy into a nifty package.  Love this “about me” segment:

Her blog is taut and delicious.  ALSO, Her WordSmith for photographers serves as a client fashion home base and tog resource home run. She incorporated her Twitter updates on her blog long before I even discovered the hipness of the Twitterverse (@joycesmith).  In many ways, I feel parallels to Joyce as we share post-graduate degrees in Literature, former freshman composition teacher stints, social-write-tography, style mongerness and devotion to motherhood.  She is personable and genuine so notch out some time to check this chica out.  Tell her the fine folks at PIFPhoto sent you:)

dustin meyer - Wow, Joyce!

Absolutely gorgeous images. Your infant portraits are so soft and delightful. It makes this so-called tough guy’s eyes water! I can’t wait to see more. Your clients must cry when they see these.

Smiles,
Dustin

Joyce Smith - It was such a treat to happen upon this in my Twitter feed while I was knee-deep in managerial accounting at a pre-Imaging conference, and now to see such kind comments to boot. Thank you all, and thanks again Leigh! :)
